Nicholson Residence
Indiana, PA
|
April 2010
Construction
Documents are complete for a traditional porch addition to the
Nicholson
residence. The addition is a semi-circular porch that includes
Colonial-Revival details that match those existing on the home.
These include the soffit, dentils and frieze board.
Real wood columns will support the porch roof that are detailed in a
Tuscan architectural language including a wood base and capital.
The porch floor is to be stained hardwood with a curved hardwood edge,
curved stairs, and a stained curved wood railing. The ceiling is
to be a stained beadboard ceiling. The natural wood finishes will
add warmth to the new addition and add a prominent architectural
presence to the front of the home. |
