Cedar Heights of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania 2004Project Manager, Project Architect, Project Designer. Work performed while employed for others. This project was to include 12 stories of condominium units, underground parking all tenants, landscaped gardens over the parking structure, and secure storage facilities. Site planning included the accommodation of a severe topographical change from the front to back of the site as well as from side to side. This topographical change needed to be mitigated while ensuring that accessibility issues were addressed. The township required a minimum number of public parking spaces across the site in order to receive favorable tax incentives. The severity of the slope made this a challenge. In order to minimize the impact of parking on the site a "green roof was proposed in which grass and landscaping would be provided over the parking structure. This had the benefit of reducing heat island effects, providing amenities to the owners, and improving relations with the neighboring residents. The project was estimated to have a value of $22M (2004).
