Work performed for others. Provided schematic design for memorial park design competition. Program called for two design schemes with an outdoor park consisting of a memorial walk, a water feature, connecting pedestrian pathways elevated above grade to allow second story inter-connection between research labs and the main hospital, as well as vertical circulation to the urban park. The Royal Danish government in 1992 implemented a plan aimed at increasing the total are of natural forest in the country from a current (1997) value of approximately less than 5% total area of forest to more than 20%. The charge of landscape architects, forest management firms, and universities throughout the country was to examine innovative and creative means to add forest. Mejlgade Park; Aarhus, Denmark Project Designer. Unbuilt. Provided an urban park scheme for a small niche space sandwiched between a public thoroughfare. The space was used for street parking and the program was to re-establish a public landscaped space.
